Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance

Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance takes place in the background of 50 years after Simon Belmont annihilated Dracula. At that time, Juste Belmont, who has just turned 16, is one of the youngest talented and also known as a young descendant to be awarded the Vampire Killer. Maxim Kischine, who is Juste’s best friend, decided to leave his race and explore the world on his own. 2 years later, he returned and announced that Lydie – their childhood friend was kidnapped in the castle in which Dracula once lived. Together, they searched for Lydie, but after entering the castle, Juste realized that someone had tried to revive the villain who had spread the curse of destroying the world 50 years ago. And no one else, it is Maxim. He is jealous and wants to show off his power when he tries to revive and destroy Dracula again, but things turn out a worse way when infected with dark energy.

The goal of joining “Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance” is to lead the character Juste Belmont in the castle to rescue his friend – Lydie, as well as to destroy the remains of Dracula to save Maxim before he actually transforms into a descendant of the evil vampire. However, there is a difference compared to previous versions when the castle was split into two parts. The structure is still similar, but the types of monsters and items have been varied. They are closely linked, for example, it will cause effect when the player destroying a door, as there will be changes in the whole castle. Simultaneously, the player will experience both at the same time and teleport through a “Warp” room to enter into different areas.
In terms of combat mechanics, Juste has two abilities with Vampire Killer and magic. As for Vampire Killer, it includes blows at melee range and can be used frequently. Meanwhile, magic can be used to summon books with the power of Fire, Ice, Wind, Thunder, and Summoners to create more powerful damage in a short period of time, respectively.

When defeating monsters and bosses, Juste will receive experience points to increase the levels, improve stats on power and magic points to be able to use powerful attacks with a higher frequency. In addition to the story mode, players will have the opportunity to participate in boss battles in Boss Rush, too, with the difficulty of level is raised over time and one more extension as when Maxim was possessed by the soul of Dracula. Depending on the outcome of each battle, the plot will give a different end.
