SHONEN JUMP’S – ONE PIECE tells the journey of finding treasures in the ocean of Straw Hat crew led by D.Luffy. It is said that the Pirate King Gol D. Roger, before his death, declared that his life-saving fortune, named One Piece, had been hidden somewhere in the ocean, whoever found it first will have it. Those who have the ambition to become rich have poured into the sea, including Luffy. He has a bigger desire as he wants to replace the position of Roger, to become the pirate king. The first scene of this game takes place at the Grand Line, which is one of the most dangerous seas. The Straw Hat crew has to face many dangers in their quest to find One Piece.

Starting the game, players will play the role of Luffy and begin the journey to search for One Piece on the Grand Line ocean. Here, there are other pirates in operation, and they are difficult barriers to overcome. The game is designed in the style of Platformer, divided into smaller levels. Each level will take place in different places in the anime series, such as Arlong Park, Syrup Village, Port Town, or Naval Base. Some Bosses can appear during battles, and players must defeat bosses at the end of the level to unlock a new level.

Luffy has some skills to fight against enemies. It includes simple punches, kicks, to special skills thanks to the Gum-Gum Devil Fruit. Those are the abilities to stretch the body, create rubber punches, inflate the body and shoot forward or increase the strength when the body shrinks. At the bottom of the screen is a purple energy bar, when it is fully charged, use the Haki technique, which is believed to be the most powerful skill to combat the enemy. Mostly, they will die in only one attack, but for bosses or bosses, perhaps more than that is required.
In addition to Luffy, there are 15 other characters that can be played, including members of the Straw Hat Pirates: Franky, Nico Robin, Sanji, Usopp, Roronoa Zoro,… Each of them has each strong point to be exploited, but that is not considered as a good option, compared to the one that has the Gum-Gum skill when facing with 12 bosses in this game.

Character designs are not really detailed, as they only have skill design and a vitality bar. Whenever damaged, the vitality bar will be reduced, and until it’s all over, the player must return to the previous checkpoint and even restart the level if there is no life point. However, the system will also provide some support items to improve vitality, have an extra life or sometimes give the character the ability to “invincible” for a short time. Pay attention, because those can appear anywhere along the way.
