The idea that there once was a planet called Earth, which consisted of continents and was surrounded by vast oceans, is now considered nothing more than a myth. At this time, people live on islands suspended high in the atmosphere. They also have wings that grow on their backs and are known as the “Wings of the Hearts.” Kalas is a young man who was only born with one wing; he has an artificial attachment created by great masters to replace the one he was born with. He has made it his mission to discover who was responsible for the deaths of his grandfather and brother. Together, he and a young woman named Xelha, dedicated to ending a sinister plot that endangers the nation, form an alliance to combat the newly emerged evil.

You take control of Kalas and his companions and take on the role of Kalas’ Guardian Spirit in this adventure game. Kalas will occasionally consult with you in the form of questions and requests for advice. Your responses will determine Kalas’ general demeanor and his behavior in battle based on how he reacts to certain situations.

Cards are used extensively throughout the gameplay system. Many of the items in the game, ranging from weapons to more mundane things like trees or milk, have something called a “Magna essence,” which enables you to store it and transform it into cards that you can later use in battles as weapons, attack spells, defensive moves, or healing abilities. These cards can also be used to store additional Magna essence, which can then be used to store other Magna essence. The game has no random enemies; they are all displayed on the screen. A turn-based battle will commence when you come into contact with an adversary. Your party will receive a set of random cards from your inventory, and you will need to make decisions for your turn based on the cards you have available to you.
