The third dimension was introduced into the Fire Emblem series with the release of Path of Radiance. A soldier named Ike rescues the princess of Crimea and discovers that the Daein kingdom has invaded the country while the story’s events take place on the continent of Tellius. It is his responsibility to lead her and the other mercenaries to Gallia. During the journey, the real motives behind the war will become clear.

You command your units as they move across a turn-based battlefield rendered in three dimensions. On each turn, you can only carry a certain number of spaces across the grid. You can utilize your turns to visit locations, use items, or engage in combat with foes. Each fight is determined by one’s statistics and strives to accomplish a particular goal. You do not engage in combat with yourself; instead, you control the items and weapons to affect the characters’ statistics and take advantage of the enemies’ vulnerabilities. Each map has a unique scenario that must be completed, such as saving a specific character, creating distractions to get by certain foes, or eliminating particular adversaries.

The game’s narrative features many sequences in an anime style. In every Fire Emblem game, the playable characters are one-of-a-kind individuals who cannot be brought back to life after being killed in combat. Only the leaders of each team can make it through unscathed if we are to continue with the story. The characters have access to a variety of different weapons, as well as magical abilities. Upon discovering ‘hidden purposes’, unique skills can be acquired.
