It has been discovered that a new substance can clone any item or creature that exists on the planet. This technology, known as C.A.R.D., allows any Hunter to carry a simple deck of cards that represent the different types of available weapons. This discovery resulted in the colonization of Ragol 2 and the birth of a new opposition group that calls themselves the Arkz. Both of these events are caused by the actions of the government.
You can play on either the Arkz or the Heroes side, and your decision will affect not only the abilities and cards at your disposal but also the tactical choices you face during combat. The Heroes are the more powerful of the two at the beginning, as they have access to a wider variety of weapons, whereas the Arkz can call upon creatures to assist them. The gameplay is very similar to that of Magic: The Gathering or Yu-Gi-Oh, in which the player must defeat the opponent by using the power and abilities of each card in turn.
Both offline and online gameplay is available for Episode III. The online mode features a ranking system to ensure players compete against opponents of equal skill.
