The helicopter of the Special Forces S.T.A.R.S. Bravo team malfunctioned and crashed during their mission, disappearing into the Arklay Mountains. Resident Evil Zero tells the story of this and what happens to them. The S.T.A.R.S. Alpha team has been tasked with investigating a series of murders in Raccoon Forest. They land nearby and explore the surrounding area after spotting the Bravo team’s helicopter, or what’s left of it. Unaware of what will come, one groupis attacked and devoured by zombified Dobermans. With a little luck, the rest of the team finds refuge in a nearby mansion, not realizing it would be better to stay outside.

You play the entire game as one of two characters: Chris Redfield or Jill Valentine. The three surviving S.T.A.R.S. members have just entered the lobby of the mansion. After a while, the team decides to split up and look for any possible survivors or helpful anything that could help them escape from this horrible place. To their surprise, they encountered an enemy they had never been trained to face: zombies. Now, there is only one mission to consider: survival.

The GameCube and later Wii versions are essentially remakes of the original PlayStation Resident Evil, with some additions. While the floorplans of the returning locations are almost entirely unchanged, several new areas have been added to the mansion, extending your stay. Lisa, a new enemy, has been added to the game, making your excursions outside the mansion far more dangerous. Finally, killing a zombie is no longer sufficient to put them to rest, and they must be destroyed by fire, or else they will rise again, faster, deadlier, and crazier than before.

Resident Evil (Biohazard: HD Remaster) is a 2015 PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Windows remake of the original Resident Evil with enhanced graphics and sounds, widescreen support, and an alternate control scheme in addition to the default one. In addition, when starting a new game, the player can choose between original character models and Chris and Jill models from Resident Evil 5, released after the initial GameCube release.
