Wave Race: Blue Storm

The sequel to Nintendo’s Wave Race 64 is Wave Race: Bluestorm. It includes a variety of racers, customization options, and tracks, as well as several modes of play. Players can race in four tournament cup series, compete in time attack mode against the fastest track times, earn points in stunt mode, or enjoy the stunning graphics in Free Roam mode. Multiplayer is available in the Stunt and Race modes. There are eight racers, each with a unique engine and handling balance. Although customization is limited, players can change the color of their racer, optimize the engine for acceleration or speed, and adjust the handling to be tight or loose. However, settings have little impact on racer performance. There are eight different courses, but there are 19 racing tracks spread across them, plus one stunt track for each. There are also five weather conditions: Sunny, Partially Sunny, Light Rain, Rain, and Stormy. These weathers can have dramatic effects on tracks, with a way raced in Sunny weather looking completely different when run in Stormy weather. The AI is pretty balanced but will cheat to keep a player.
