Baseball Simulator 1,000 is a sports game developed by Culture Brain. The game was released on Nintendo in Japan in 1989 and in North America in 1990. In the game, there are four tournaments available. There are 18 teams in this game: 6 weak teams, 6 average teams, and 6 strong teams. Strong teams have the best players and also special abilities. This means that players like bats, passers and pitchers are able to make a difference using the special abilities they possess. Their special abilities include Bomb Hit: exploding upon hitting the ground or Shadowless Ball Hit, creating elusive balls … The pitchers can throw things like fireballs or lots of balls at once. There are also other special abilities including the ability to jump very high, running very far in a short time. There are bats who can hit the ball at such a great speed that anyone who tries to grab it is pushed into the outside wall or the pitcher can throw the ball at an extremely fast speed. Each time a special player uses their special ability, they lose a bit of stamina and when all of them are used up they cannot perform their special abilities. The fitness points of the players will recover over time.

The game has simple gameplay. The same button is used for throws, passes, and strokes. The special ability is activated at the push of a button. To throw to a certain facility requires the appropriate arrow keys and buttons. While the 12 weak and average teams are quite similar to the reality, the remaining six teams are extremely excellent and have more animation support. Players can choose positions for all players. You can also watch the matches played by the machine. Baseball Simulator 1,000 has realistic season-like modes and a team editing mode that allows players to create their own team. They can edit from the player’s name, attributes, arm strength to endurance. The scoreboard of the season on the teams will always be displayed, players can follow up to calculate a reasonable strategy. A season can be 5, 30, 60, 120 or 165 matches. However, there are no playoffs for the top two teams. Whoever wins, in the end, is the champion. The game also supports two players together.
