Gargoyle’s Quest II is an action-adventure game developed by Capcom and published by Nintendo. This is the sequel to Gargoyle’s Quest with a similar style and combining action-adventure elements in a macabre setting.

A long time ago, before humans appeared in the Ghoul Realm. This place appeared a young vampire warrior, Firebrand from Etruria. One day, while Firebrand is participating in the daily practice at his training place. There was a sudden blacklight destroying Firebrand’s habitat. When he returned home, Firebrand was told by a vampire the whole thing before it died in front of him. Before he died, this vampire gave him Specter’s fingernail. Later, Firebrand began the journey to unravel the source of the blacklight that destroyed the place where he lived. Firebrand will face an army to unravel the mystery of this light.

The ability to move the character is almost the same as its predecessor. With the help of wings, he can fly into the air by holding the jump button on the control panel. If you want Firebrand to fly down, take your finger off the jump button. One of Firebrand’s main and best abilities is clinging to walls to be able to climb. However, Firebrand’s speed when climbing will be slower than normal movement. Firebrand will fire magic bullets to kill enemies and to defend themselves. When starting the game, Firebrand’s attack ability is quite weak. To enhance the ability to attack, you will pick up items dropped after destroying monsters. When killing all monsters at each level, a boss will appear. You will have to defeat this boss if you want to explore the next level.

The number of lives will increase when a character picks up a heart-shaped item dropped from a monster or is available in the map. When flying, you will have a period of time allowed. When you fly beyond this time, Firebrand will automatically fall down after exhausted. You can reset Firebrand power when he stays below ground for a while. There are pitfalls along the way, you will need to avoid them if you don’t want to lose your life. In addition, you can lose your life if the monster touches Firebrand or enemy attacks.
