Ghosts’ n Goblins is an action game released by Capcom with unique content. The game is the inspiration for many modern action games later. Prin-Prin is a princess of royal blood. Conspiracy to destroy humanity, Satan – a messenger from Hades was planning to kidnap the princess. After learning that the princess was abducted, Arthur, a knight who loved the princess, tried to rescue her from the enemy. However, to rescue the princess, he must go through the six gates protected by the soldiers of Satan to reach Hades – the place where the princess is held.
In the game, players will play the role of knight Arthur in the Demon Realm village to rescue his princess Prin-Prin from the evil Satan. In addition to his original weapon as a lance, Arthur can use the axe and dagger collected to remove everything that hinders him.
On the way to rescue the princess, Arthur will face many enemies such as Zombie, Green Monster, Raven, Flying Knight, Woody Pig, Blue Killer, Petite Devil, Big Man, Bat, Skeleton, Red Arremer. They will appear at the first 5 gates of Hades. Each gate represents a level in the game. He will pick up some important items like armour, weapons and bonuses before having to fight a bunch of monsters. Arthur’s enemies carried powerful magic. To avoid being attacked by them, he needs to attack quickly and accurately to destroy them. When he is attacked for the first time, he will lose his armour. If attacked a second time, Arthur will lose his life and return to the start of the level. By destroying the enemy, he can collect his lost armour and continue fighting. Players will have 3 minutes to pass each level. When the time is up, Arthur’s life will be over. However, with the collected bonus, he can reserve a certain amount of his life.
After destroying all enemies in the first 5 gates, Arthur came to the last gate – Lord Astaroth’s demon room containing new enemies Unicorn, Dragon, Satan – who kidnapped the princess and Astaroth – boss. final. Players must use collected bonuses to buy necessary equipment and weapons such as torches and shields before entering the fight with these monsters. The mission will be completed when the player defeats the last 4 enemies and the princess is rescued. Princess and Arthur return to the city, the game is over.
