Golgo 13: Top Secret Episode is an action game released by Vic Tokai in 1988. The game is set from a Helicopter explosion from New York City. A CIA bio-weapons and vaccines stored on the plane were missing after the explosion. After investigating, the CIA has identified Golgo-13, the man responsible for the crime and the theft of items on board. The agency quickly planned to search and arrest Golgo-13, a KGB gunner. However, FIXER, a secret international organization, suspected that the case was not carried out by the KGB, but by the DREK empire. Condor, a mysterious man who has taken on the task of helping FIXER to clearly investigate the case. He embarks on a journey to find the DREK empire along with Golgo-13.
In the game, players will control the character Golgo in turn through 13 stages to complete his mission. The place he had to go to collect the first clues was in eastern Germany. In a conversation with a local resident, he will find a path to the city. Some enemies appear to stop his journey. Initially, Golgo will attack the enemy by jumping up and kicking the opponent’s body. He has to move flexibly to avoid bullets fired from enemies. After destroying the enemy, he will collect a shotgun. The short talk is taken after he passes the first stage. The clues revealed here will take Golgo to the next area. He will overcome the tall buildings and destroy the enemies in the way. Bonuses will appear when each enemy is killed. Golgo will use this bonus to buy items such as weapons and armor in the store.
Golgo will enter a forest where many enemies appear. The weapon he is equipped with is a rifle with an unlimited number of bullets. The biggest challenge for the player is to overcome the Automatic Shoot Robot that appears at the end of the forest. He must use his moving skills to jump up and down to make it easier to attack enemies.
An aerial battle between the DREK and Golgo empires. DREK continuously attacked him with fighters with devastating weapons. Golgo will control his plane and destroy all fighters in the sky. Condor and Golgo complete their mission and return to the base when destroying all enemies.
