Launched by Leland Corporation in 1989, Super Off-Road lets you enjoy exciting off-road driving challenges and you’ll explore intense races to find the winner. The driving challenge of this game is relatively simple, but the player must still have a good focus to drive stable and overcome other competitors.
The game is designed with 2 modes of play to be 1 player and multiple players. In 1 player mode, you will participate in the competition with the computer. Each race allows 4 riders to participate and the player who gets the best results (completing many laps within the time allowed) will win. Each match will have a certain time period. In the process of participating in the races, you need to move skillfully to overcome the obstacles there along the way. Unlike conventional driving challenges, off-road driving will provide more complex maps to challenge the player’s skillful control. On the way, you will have to overcome rough roads or ramps. Poor control will cause you to hit the wall and other opponents will quickly overtake you to complete the race in the shortest time. Besides, each race will bring you a bonus. Depending on the position you won at the end of each race (1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th), you will receive the corresponding prize money. From the money collected, you will use them to upgrade your vehicle. There will be 5 upgrade systems to explore: Nitro, Accel Box, Tires, T.SPD and SHKS. Each upgrade system will require a different amount to implement. Therefore, you need to win in many different races to get many bonuses and upgrade the car completely.
Besides the attractive upgrade system, the game also owns many different types of race tracks. Each race will have a unique design of terrain and the number of obstacles on the track. In addition, there will be 8 different countries appearing in the game for you to choose to represent and participate in the competition. With the multiplayer mode, you will have 3 options to experience as 2 players, 3 players, and 4 players. In it, the 2-player mode allows you to explore tournaments between 2 players and 2 NPCs.
