A karaoke video game, High School Musical: Sing It!, is based on the film series. There are 30 songs, each of which can be performed singly or in a duet with another person. During the performance, the singer’s progress is displayed on the screen. The video takes place in 12 distinct settings from the films, and it has avatars performing in front of the audience while showing the song’s lyrics and the number of bars each word takes up. As the player advances through the game, new themes, locations, clothing, and characters are unlocked for them to use. Additionally, this video contains some bonus footage.
The player begins the game with Troy, Gabriella, Ryan, Sharpay, Chad, and Taylor. There are a total of 14 characters from whom to choose. In addition to the two-player games, there are party modes in which players can take part in the action with a standard controller or by passing around a microphone.
Most of the songs are taken directly from the film, while others were created afterward with a similar style but were inspired by the film. The following songs are included on the tracklist: * Start of Something New.
