Ham III, the grandson of the first chimp astronaut, is featured in the video game Space Chimps, which is based on the movie of the same name. Ham III is sent into space to battle an evil tyrant who rules a distant planet. What’s the issue? Ham III isn’t your typical hero for an action movie; he’s more of a buffoon. Because of his grandfather, he was allowed to participate in the trip. However, he is currently in over his head, much to the frustration of the other chimp astronauts, Luna and Titan.
The gameplay consists of 3D platforming and battle from a third-person perspective. Depending on the level, you’ll take control of either Ham III or Luna, with Ham III having a more robust ability to attack in close quarters and Luna being able to attack from a farther distance. There is one secret Dole Banana and one hidden Globhopper on each level. The Globhoppers allow you to unlock movie snippets and concept art, and the Dole Bananas will enable you to unlock costumes.
