Super Paper Mario is a continuation of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door in 2004 and Paper Mario: Sticker Star in 2012. It’s still a video game genre that mixes classic platform elements with immersive humorous storylines. The game story revolves around Mario’s attempt to stop Earl Bleck, a new villain who plans to destroy all worlds. To prevent, Mario must collect eight objects called “pure heart” to form a pure heart, which is a relic with high power and the only thing that can prevent Bleck’s plan. Although Mario is the main character of the game, you will have four members of your team. Each character has a unique ability you will need to use to progress. Mario has the power to “flip” the 2D world around him into 3D, allowing access to new areas, avoiding enemies, or seeing hidden items, but if flipped too long, you will lose a point of strength. You will earn points by defeating enemies, and your score doubles compared to your experience, so you can level up as you progress.
