You’re a cute tiny extraterrestrial in a yellow suit. Your ship was brought down by FBI fire when it flew over Earth. And it appeared at their front door when they were expecting it. After having several FBI Agents steal your ship, your only other choice is to blow up everything in your route to get it back.

Alien Hominid is a 2D side-scrolling shooter that makes significant allusions to the Metal Slug series of games. These references include everything from the hand-drawn graphics and enormous explosions to the ability to shred FBI Agents when you get close to them. Dan Paladin, who is also the featured artist, created these illustrations. Your objective is to reach the stage’s conclusion while suffering the fewest deaths humanly possible, which is made extremely difficult because any bullet will result in instant death.

You can collect various power-ups, such as lasers, spread shots, shotguns, and more, in addition to stealing vehicles and utilizing them as a shield to aid you out of sticky situations. You can throw grenades, and you can even leap on the shoulders of enemies and choose to bite their heads off if you want to, or you may pick them up and throw them at other foes instead. You also have the option to go underground for a little amount of time to avoid attackers. While underneath, you can kill enemies by dragging them into the dirt.

The gameplay of both versions of the game on the GBA is precisely the same; however, the GBA version does not have some bosses, such as the robot bee and the FBI big-fisted tank robot. A specialized “PDA Game” is included in the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and Xbox 360 editions of the game, and it has deceptively detailed graphics. The objective of this game is to reach the exit after killing all the agents by jumping on top of their heads and then escaping. If you have the Xbox or Xbox 360 version of the game, the level editor that comes with it will allow you to create your custom levels, which you can then share with friends who also own the game.
