Burnout is a racing video game with arcade-style gameplay similar to the Test Drive or Need For Speed series of games. In this game, you will be racing on real-life streets, which means you will have to cope with real-life traffic.
There are six different racetracks to choose from, with three of them having an American flavor and the other three having a European taste. A diverse selection of automobiles is available, ranging from subcompact cars to pickup trucks. They are not, however, based on any actual makes or models of automobiles.
One of the most noticeable aspects of Burnout is the “Burn Meter.” The Burn Meter is a gauge that can be filled up by engaging in risky maneuvers such as racing into oncoming traffic or power-drifting through curves. When the Burn Meter reaches its maximum level, your vehicle will receive a significant increase in speed. You must load your Meter again to rectify it if it is reset.
