Xtreme Legends is a kind of expansion to Dynasty Warriors 5 that enables the player to do far more with the Romance of the Three Kingdoms generals than was before possible. You can still participate in legal fights and co-op, but there is also a new character creation option and a game called “Destiny,” in which you follow a soldier from grunt to officer.
You can choose to play Xtreme Legends on its own or utilize it in conjunction with a Dynasty Warriors 5 save file that you already have to unlock new content, such as battlegrounds and dozens of characters based on the novels.
The main gameplay consists of rushing one general into the enemy’s ranks and emerging uninjured, all accented by cheesy rock guitars. In most aspects, the game adheres to the tried and tested Dynasty Warriors format.
