You take control of Yuki, a young child who fancies himself an aviator and enjoys building and flying model aircraft in Grandia III. Finally, he can construct a robust machine to whisk him away from the remote island he has been living on with his mother all this time. Unfortuitously, the mother will not let her son leave so quickly, and the weight of her body causes the flight to crash… If Yuki hadn’t also run into a young girl named Alfina, who possessed unexplained abilities and needed his protection, that would have solved most of the problem. The journey that Yuki has always envisioned taking place finally starts.
The storylines of Grandia III and its two predecessors are not connected in any way, although the game’s fighting system is almost the same. Once more, there is an initial point (IP) gauge in the battles, which enables you to precisely time your assaults and cancel your enemies’ actions upon exact execution. You can now further personalize your characters with the return of the skill books and the mana eggs from the previous game.
