R-Type Final

Your adversary in R-Type Final is the Bydo, a malignant and living weapon capable of copying itself. Up to this point, humanity has engaged the Bydo in combat four times, and each time it has emerged triumphant. On the other hand, the Bydo gets more powerful with each new appearance, and because it has now made a comeback, you will need to eliminate it again. The game is a scrolling shooter, just like the others in the R-Type Series. You aim to pilot a spaceship across various levels and eliminate all foes you encounter, including mighty monsters, after each stage. There are over one hundred different types of spaceships to select from in this game, each with its unique set of skills. You start the game with limited firepower, no matter which ship you choose. You can fire a simple weapon or hold down a button to charge up and release a more powerful burst of fire. When power-ups appear on the screen, you must collect them so your ship can be armed with additional weapons. These power-ups can include several lasers, missiles, and other helpful items. In addition to the standard gameplay, an AI vs. mode is available. In this mode, you can choose one of your available fighters to be controlled by the computer, and then you can face off against it in various fights to see who emerges victorious.
