In the fourth installment of the main Rayman video game series, the Rabbids take over the world and imprison Rayman in a coliseum converted into a jail. More than seventy-five trials must be completed before he is released. To keep the Rabbids entertained, Rayman will have the opportunity to do things such as throw cows, milk cows, make Rabbids dance, and even race warthogs and eagles. The more games Rayman wins, the more plungers he will earn. These plungers can be used to construct a ladder, allowing him to escape the jail cell. The final challenge in the Coliseum is a boss game, which could be an on-rails first-person shooter or a racing game. This challenge must be accomplished after completing the first three trials.
The player can unlock unique minigames through the game’s Story Mode. These minigames can then be played in Score Mode to access new material (such as music, wardrobes, and challenges) and raise their scores. The generation of a password that enables users to submit their high score to an online ranking system via Ubisoft’s homepage occurs whenever a player achieves a high score in Score Mode. The game can be played either by a single player or multiple players simultaneously (up to four individuals can participate in competitive or cooperative play).
