Sonic Mega Collection Plus is a special expanded edition of the blockbuster GameCube compilation adapted for the PS2 and Xbox, containing 20 of the most popular Sonic the Hedgehog and SEGA Genesis titles in one convenient collection. It retains all of the previous version’s content, including the emulated Genesis games listed below:

In addition to what was on GameCube, the Plus version has a save-state function, a slew of new artwork, movies, comics, and numerous new games. The Ooze and Comix Zone Genesis games were now available in all areas, and the previous version only had them in Japan. In addition, a Game Gear emulator and six Game Gear games were added:
