This port of the Twisted Metal: Head-On game was first released for the PSP but with several modifications. Adding four levels from an unfinished version of the new Twisted Metal game is one of the improvements made. The game’s development was halted when an aircraft disaster claimed the lives of six development team members. It includes Twisted Metal: Black characters but with new stories (sadly, no endings were done for them) and two additional characters, 12-Pak and Gold Tooth. Also featured is the Twisted Metal: Black villains. The levels include a vast suburban area, a gigantic stadium, a local carnival, and a shipyard.
Another feature is the option to explore an asylum while playing as Sweet Tooth. This feature was planned to be included in the next version of Twisted Metal and intended to be used for character-based foot missions. Within it, you will have the opportunity to explore the institution and gather Sweet Tooth-shaped heads, each of which will provide information about the Twisted Metal series.
Includes documentaries about Twisted Metal’s history and live-action videos of endings for the original Twisted Metal on the Playstation. These videos appear to be an old, worn-out videotape, and some have ends entirely different from the ultimately released versions. One of these endings makes Sweet Tooth sound almost precisely like Mick “Mankind” Foley, famous for his work in WWE and WWF.
