In Warship Gunner 2, a continuance of Koei’s Naval Ops series, the player assumes command of massive naval forces in an alternate 1940, with the ability to employ not only traditional weapons of the era, such as substantial deck guns and cannons but also more advanced technology, such as giant lasers.
The player can select which ship to use, using analog controls to target weapons and move the game camera to see more of the battlefield and the d-pad to steer their boats. They can also investigate technology to create more extensive and more powerful weapons and construct their boats from scratch using over a thousand customizable parts.
Players can employ destroyers, battleships, cruisers, and submarines to destroy their foes, and there are 100 missions to complete.
