Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA

“Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA” is a rhythm game developed by the hit game company Sega with the cooperation of Crypton Future Media released in 2013. It is the fifth version of the series of Vocaloid rhythm games by “Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA”. Like the previous versions, the game still mainly uses Vocaloid, a series of vocal synthesis software and songs created with this vocalist, most notably the character Hatsune Miku. The game retains the basic gameplay mechanics from previous versions, although there are some new changes, most notably the addition of the “Star” symbol to the cross, circle, square icons, existing triangles and arrows of the game. The “Star” icon represents the “Scratch” move, in which instead of clicking the buttons. As usual, players will have to scrub the screen or swipe the same bar, depending on which system is being used. The “Chance Time” function has also been modified from the previous sections, with each successive beat filling a star gauge at the bottom left of the screen. When filled, it activates the last scratch icon, if successfully recorded, will change the outcome of the scene. There is also a new mechanism called the “Technical Zone”, where when it occurs in a song, the player must maintain an uninterrupted combination for a limited time to receive bonus points.
