“Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge” is an adventure game developed exclusively by cult house game LucasArts in 1991. The game uses point and clicks gameplay based on SCUMM. Actions and dialogues are described on the Animation Window that covers the top of the screen; The verbal commands are listed in the lower-left corner of the screen, while the Inventory items are displayed as icons in the lower right corner. A line of sentences is placed below the Animation window and serves to describe the player’s actions. “LeChuck’s Revenge” is set in the fictional Tri-Island region of the Caribbean, the story of the game focuses on the pirate Guybrush Threepwood. After defeating the pirate LeChuck in “The Secret of Monkey Island”, little is known what happened between Guybrush Threepwood and Elaine Marley. The next section deals with Guybrush’s attempts to find the Big Whoop’s mysterious treasure. Coming to “Monkey Island 2 Special Edition: LeChuck’s Revenge” was released in July 2010, players will see a marked improvement when the in-game graphics are more polished, adding to the character’s voice, more specifically the content in the game many art ideas as well as the suggestion system in the dialogue. The player can choose to use the initial point and click control scheme or can control Guybrush movements directly using the control panel or similar device.
