An improved version of the game for the TurboGrafx-16 system. The objective of this story is for the player to travel to a long-lost kingdom known as Westoria, which has been cut off from the outside world for many years, to discover what happened to the people who lived there and put an end to the Great Labyrinth, which is the source of the monsters that inhabit this world.

The player can create a character that belongs to one of three distinct races (the human-like Izark, the elf-like Ist, or the reptilian orcs known as Olff) and choose from six different warrior classes (the fighter, hunter, monk, thief, shaman, and bishop), as well as choose their gender, attributes, color, and other characteristics to produce more than 70 unique characters.

The majority of the game consists of venturing through dungeons, whacking away at hostile monsters, gathering power-ups, and performing spells against evil enemies as you go. They also have the option to explore the town, where they can acquire weapons, goods, and armor to construct over 300 different combinations that will assist them in their adventure.

Each character possesses their very own unique skills, also referred to as their “Arts,” of which there are a total of three: The effectiveness of your Weapon Arts training is directly proportional to the kinds of weapons and the frequency with which you employ them; generally speaking, the more a skill is practiced, the more muscular it will become. The potency of a character’s Job Arts, determined by the character’s job class, can increase with the frequency with which they are utilized. Similarly, increasing one’s level in their Job class enables one to acquire a more significant number of Job Arts. And finally, Big Bang Arts are produced by combining the powers of numerous party members; the more people there are in the party, the more influential the attack. A multiplayer mode uses the Ad-Hoc protocol and allows up to three human players to compete together.
