Kanon is an RPG game adapted from the anime of the same name. The story revolves around the life of Aizawa Yuichi, a high school boy who has just returned to the city where he used to visit his cousin seven years ago, with some remnants of what happened in the city. There was an unfortunate accident that caused him to lose part of his memory. He only slowly regains his memories after meeting a few native girls, all related to his past. As he befriended them and continued interacting with them, his childhood-forgotten memories began to revive. Kanon’s gameplay follows an interactive branching plot with multiple scenarios and focuses primarily on the five heroines. Almost all the time playing is just reading the narration and conversation. The in-game text often includes a two-dimensional image of the character, representing the person that Yuichi is communicating with, on a background art; Sprite can change frequently according to character expression. Kanon follows a branched plot with many different endings, and depending on the decisions the player makes during enjoyment, the script will progress in a specific direction. There are five main storylines for players to experience, each focusing on the story of a female lead. It provides options for players to choose throughout the script, and the text will stop running until the player has made his or her decision. In order to read the entire scenario, the player had to play it again and again, each time making different choices so the story went in another direction
