Alongside FIFA Soccer, World Tour Soccer was one of the first licensed soccer games to be made available for the PlayStation Portable (PSP). Players can select from one of 128 clubs, 86 international teams, nine historic clubs, and international teams, seven teams that participated in an earlier iteration of an all-star league, and six international superstar teams. It includes the most prominent players at the time, with the lesser-known ones having a more generic look.
The game has a variety of game modes, including a season mode, an exhibition style, a quick start mode, a cups mode, and a challenge mode. Additionally, the game supports multiplayer, allowing friends to compete against one another via the Ad Hoc mode. It offers a selection of four distinct languages, including English, French, Italian, and Spanish. Additionally, it features intricate animations, various weather effects, and eight different arenas in which to compete.
