“Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games” is an extremely attractive sports/party crossover game developed by Sega in cooperation with Nintendo. It is the fourth installment in the “Mario & Sonic” series of games and is based on the 2014 Winter Olympics held in Sochi. In the game, players will be able to choose one of the 20 characters appearing from the previous versions and participate in a series of sixteen different Olympic events. In-game events are controlled using the Wii Remote MotionPlus and Nunchuk controllers or the Wii U GamePad, with some events such as biathlon, using both controllers for the Wii U version. There are some back events like skiing, bobsledding and curling. The game also introduces players to new events including figure skating pairs and snowboarding slopestyle. Similar to previous titles, players will also participate in one of eight fictional Dream events, including a new mixed event in which one can be played simultaneously with snowboarding, skiing, and bobsledding. A new addition to this game is Action & Answer Tour, where players answer questions to score points while competing in various events hosted by Orbot and Cubot from “Sonic Colors” and “Sonic Lost World”.
