Banjo-Kazooie’s fairy tale origin narrative is similar to Snow White’s. Gruntilda, a gnarled, ugly witch, asks her magical cauldron, who is the fairest of them all. Of course, the hag is not pleased with the pot’s response: he targets Banjo’s sister, Tooty. When Tooty goes missing, Banjo and his birdie pal Kazooie search for her.
The worlds of Banjo-Kazooie are large and full of objects to acquire. To complete his voyage, Banjo must stuff his rucksack with Musical Notes, Puzzle Pieces (“Jiggies”), Mumbo Tokens, and Jinjoes. While some required things are hidden off the usual road, others need puzzle-solving talents to locate.
