The video game Proving Ground is a sequel to Tony Hawk’s Project 8, and it gives the player the freedom to choose their path through the tale by providing them with a variety of options to select from when they are skating in the cities of Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington, District of Columbia. Riggers, Hardcore, Career Skaters, and Street Skaters are the four categories of skaters, and their interactions with one another shape the course of the game. In addition to that, it comes with a revamped version of the Nail-the-Trick system, which includes new maneuvers such as Bowl Carving, Aggro Push, Skate Checking, Climbing/Exploration, Environment Altering, and Rig-a-Kit.
During the game, the player can receive guidance from real-life professional skaters to assist in developing their custom-made skaters, the opportunity to learn new skating maneuvers and tricks, and the capability to design their skate park.
The game includes an online mode in which players can compete against one another while also displaying their awards and accomplishments in their custom-built skate parks and inviting other players to join them there. A full-featured video editor allows players to create their skate videos, in which they may select from various camera angles and playback speeds and then submit those videos online to share with other players.
