For the upcoming fifth iteration of the World Fighting Tournament, 17 invitations have been distributed. There is a return of 15 warriors and the introduction of two new competitors: a young girl named Eileen, who practices monkey kung fu, and a lucha libre wrestler named El Blaze. The participants had no idea that the organization J6 which is supporting the competition, has been working on a new training program for the Dural fighting style. Their initial iteration was defeated in the game before this one, and the organization was responsible for Vanessa’s abduction. She could evade capture, but her fighting data was taken and used to develop V-Dural. J6 intends to use the new competition to identify the informant who assisted Vanessa in evading capture and put their newly developed program to the test against the best fighters in the world.
The gameplay consists primarily of one-on-one battles in an arena. However, there have been several modifications made to it. The ranking system has been altered, the speed at which throws are executed has been slowed down, and a new offensive move has been included. This move enables combatants to sidestep one another to avoid being hit and conduct more strategic strikes. The recent clash mechanism allows players to defend themselves against attacks by throwing objects at them. Additionally, this edition has expanded character customization options.
